Connecting with the Centre for Workplace Accessibility (CWA) – screen reader friendly version

Pathway One: Faculty or Staff member contacts CWA. CWA provides commitment to confidentiality.
Reason for connecting: Workplace Accommodation Fund request or discuss a specific workplace
accommodation. Does the potential solution require medical documentation? If yes: The CWA will outline the Accommodation Process, and will facilitate next steps (but only if you want us to). If no: The CWA will coordinate the procurement and implementation of eligible accessibility or accommodation
solutions.

Reason for connecting: Struggling at work, not sure what to do or nothing specific. Lets have a conversation to explore some options, resources and supports. Is there a possible disability or medical
condition? If no: The CWA will share tools, resources and next steps to help support you. If yes: Does the potential solution require medical documentation? If yes: The CWA will outline the Accommodation
Process, and will facilitate next steps (but only if you want us to). If no: The CWA will coordinate the procurement and implementation of eligible accessibility or accommodation solutions.

Other reasons to connect with the CWA

  • You’re working on a project and want some advice about accessibility and disability inclusion
  • You’d like the CWA to present at an upcoming team meeting
  • You’re a hiring manager and a candidate has requested an accommodation for the interview
